St. Mary’s website policy
Safeguarding
Our commitment
Every student should be able to learn, participate and seek help without fear of abuse, harassment, bullying, exploitation or discrimination.
How concerns should be reported
Publish the names, roles and direct contact routes of the institution’s designated safeguarding personnel before launch. Emergencies should be reported to the appropriate local authority without delay.
Staff and visitor expectations
Recruitment checks, codes of conduct, supervised access, safe transport, digital safety and clear boundaries should form part of the verified safeguarding system.
Confidentiality
Concerns should be handled sensitively, but safety information cannot be promised absolute secrecy when action is necessary to protect a child.
