The hours between classes shape students too
School becomes meaningful when students find people, places and pursuits that feel like theirs.
Life at St. Mary’s includes the friendships, teams, performances, responsibilities and quiet moments through which students learn who they are.
A day told through student voices
Use a scroll-based timeline with short student quotes and real scenes: arrival, class, lab, lunch, practice, club, residence study and reflection.
What activities are really for
- Clubs: A place to try interests, take responsibility and work with students beyond the usual class group.
- Arts: A way to develop expression, discipline, confidence and the courage to be seen.
- Service: A chance to notice needs beyond oneself and contribute meaningfully.
- Leadership: Practice in listening, organising, representing others and following through.
- Events: Shared milestones that create belonging and memories across the community.
Wellbeing and support
Name the actual support people and processes: class teacher, mentor, house parent, counsellor, nurse/infirmary, safeguarding lead and escalation route. “We care” must become visible access.
